Welcome address 2008
In summer 2000 Berlin neuroscientist, neurosurgeon and neurologists
interested in brain tumors - students, postdocs, physicians, and group leaders
- met for the first time in Berlin to mutually present their data and to
discuss their results. It turned out to be an exciting meeting and we thus felt
encouraged to continue this as a series. The next meetings in spring 2001 and
in December 2004 and 2006 attracted not only Berlin scientists, but also people from outside
Berlin. International speakers were invited to present their latest results and
were the hot spots in the program. For this year's meeting we expect to still
exceed the number of participants of the previous meetings - we expect up to
200 participants from all over Germany.
A selected number of international key-scientists are invited for
plenary lectures, presentations from German scientists will complement the
scientific program. Poster submissions are invited such as applications for
oral presentations. We expect exciting scientific exchange and we would like to
invite you to be part of this meeting.
